Goals & Objectives

The University of Toronto Girl's Basketball Festival is an opportunity for your team to learn new playing skills, develop sportsmanship ideals, gain competitive experience and to learn in a supportive environment. We offer skills development for players and coaches alike - you learn together as a team as well as individually.

 Provide good competition for junior and senior girl's basketball teams.
Provide coaches with the opportunity to observe other coaching styles.
Introduce players to the University of Toronto, it's facilities and athletes.
Introduce players to one of the top women's basketball programs in Canada.

Learn new skills, as well as improve and apply existing skills through competition.
Learn good sportsmanship skills while focusing on positive learning behaviours in a competitive atmosphere.

55 Harbord Street Toronto, Ontario M5S 2W6 (S.E. corner of Harbord St. and Spadina Ave.)

Playing sites includess four courts in the Field House (mondo surfaces).
One hardword court in the upper gym.
Two cross-court hardwood surfaces in the sports gym.

   Junior Girl's Tournament -Sunday, September 25, 2011

Time

 Tournament start time is 8:45 a.m.
Team registration begins at 8:30 a.m. in the lobby of the Athletic Centre.

Cost

 $ 225 per team

Please make cheques payable to: University of Toronto

Tournament Format

 Round robin pool play, followed by a playoff round.
 Each game will consist of two, 12-minute halves, with stop time in the last 2 minutes.

Banner and team awards for Championship team
All Coaches will receive a complementary package.

Officials

Referees and court officials will be drawn from university intramural officials and Varsity Blues intercollegiate players.
